    Job Description
    We are working closely with a well-established accounting practice based in Newport Beach, California. Our client offers a collaborative work environment, focusing on audit, tax, and business consulting services. They are seeking a Tax Manager to join their team, providing an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to make a significant impact.

    As a Tax Manager, you will play a key role in tax compliance, with a specialization in real estate partnership tax preparation using CCH ProSystems tax software.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Lead the preparation and review of real estate partnership tax returns, with a focus on bottom-tier partnerships and rental real estate transactions.
    2. Provide virtual training and mentorship to staff members, ensuring a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
    3. Collaborate with the tax engagement team remotely, offering valuable insights and expertise in tax compliance matters.
    4. Engage in virtual business consulting activities, contributing to the 20% of our services dedicated to this area.
    5. Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, ensuring our practice remains at the forefront of the financial services landscape.
    6. Contribute to the growth of the firm by actively participating in M&A projects and other expansion initiatives.
    Requirements
    1. Solid experience in real estate partnership tax preparation, ideally with proficiency in CCH ProSystems tax software.
    2. Strong understanding of tax compliance procedures, with a preference for candidates with a background in audit and review as well.
    3. Previous experience in a similar remote role within a public accounting firm is highly desirable.
    4. CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a keen interest in the future of public accounting.
