    Description


    JOB SUMMARY The#Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team, responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through#the nursing process in all areas of the unit.##As a member of the float pool, the right candidate must#be willing and able to help in whichever area that there is a need.# Employee could float to Orthopedic, Cardiac Telemetry, ICU, Emergency Department,#Day Surgery,#Ob/Gyn or Behavioral Units.# They will be responsible for assessing patients#upon admission, throughout stay and#prior to discharge.# They will be required to administer IV#medications, IV therapy, blood and its components according to established clinical standards and policies.



    JOB REQUIREMENTS


    Education:
    Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor#s Degree preferred Valid State of Maine RN license BLS certification required, ACLS preferred ACLS preferable

    Experience:
    1 year of recent acute care experience is required or at least one year of current experience on a skilled unit

    Other Skills Required:
    Flexibility required to provide 24 hours/day coverage, 7 days per week.

    JOB SUMMARY
