***:This position is responsible for the set-up, programming, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of robotic welding equipment. It is critical to the fabrication of metallic parts or assemblies through welding by means of a robotic machine, supporting production operations.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Identify and perform correct robotic welding parameters, welding procedures, operations, and programs
  • Create robotic welding programs, troubleshoot, and modify existing welding programs, and conduct welding cell cycle time calculations
  • Works with maintenance team to identify and set up proper maintenance and pm schedule for robotic weld machines.
  • Train robotic weld operators standard work processes and techniques for robotic weld operations.
  • Support standardized work and teamoriented goals.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Perform special projects as requested and related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAINING:


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Knowledge and experience using GMAW processes
  • Certificate in robotic arc welding, metals fabrication, automated technology, advanced manufacturing, etc. preferred, associate degree a plus
  • AWS Certified Robotic Arc Welder certification a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills
  • Knowledgeable of automation equipment, processes, and systems
  • Interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Adapt to technology changes quickly and seamlessly
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Some travel required for training and certifications
