    Description


    AMS validation engineers can effectively validate and ensure the quality and reliability of their analog mixed-signal designs, contributing to the development of innovative semiconductor solutions for various applications and industries.


    Responsibilities :
    Understanding what needs to be measured and how to perform those measurements in the most automated way possible.
    Validation of radio performances on Bluetooth standards, Zigbee, or proprietary protocols.
    Debugging and optimizing the Radio, analog, and mixed-signal performance of RF transceivers.
    Collaboration with the design, architecture, SW, customer support, and production teams.


    Qualifications :
    Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
    At least 5-10 years of experience in a similar position.
    A strong understanding of analog circuit design principles is essential for validating AMS designs. This includes knowledge of various analog building blocks such as amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and data converters.
    Familiarity with digital circuit design is important, as many AMS designs incorporate both analog and digital components. Understanding digital signal processing (DSP) techniques and protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART can be beneficial.

    Proficiency in using simulation tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis), and MATLAB/Simulink for simulating AMS circuits and verifying their functionality.

    Experience with AMS verification techniques, including behavioral modeling, mixed-signal simulation, and co-simulation of analog and digital components.

    Knowledge of layout design principles and tools such as Cadence Virtuoso Layout Suite for creating physical layouts of AMS circuits while considering layout-dependent effects and manufacturing constraints.

    Understanding of reliability testing methods and standards for evaluating the long-term performance and robustness of AMS circuits, including temperature cycling, voltage stress testing, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing.

    Creation of tools to facilitate and improve the efficiency of the validation effort using Test stand, LabVIEW, C programming and Python.

    Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, TCL/TK for automating validation tasks, data analysis, and generating test reports.
    Effective communication and collaboration skills are crucial for working within multidisciplinary teams.
