Malvern Day Camp (MDC) Camp
Lifeguards are responsible for teaching swim lessons, guarding the pool ensuring safety of all people in the pool area (including children 5-14 years old) and learning the procedures to maintain the cleanliness and up keep of the pool facility.

The hours of this full-time, seasonal position are from 8:15am-4:15pm*, Monday through Friday. Malvern Day Camp runs from mid June to mid August 2024. There will be mandatory training dates before camp begins.

Opportunities exist for additional compensation to work extended day program before or after regular camp hours.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for lifeguarding and ensuring safety of all people in and out of pool
Enforce all pool rules
Know and understand each swimming skill level and the skills that are taught
Teach swim lessons to children ages 49 with different ability levels
Work effectively with other lifeguards and take turns with various responsibilities.
Serve as a positive role model to campers

Requirements:

Current Lifeguard Certification
Previous lifeguard experience (preferred)
Previous experience working with children
Previous experience teaching swim lessons (preferred)
Follow and maintain all Malvern Day Camp policies and procedures
Minimum of 18 years of age

Required upon hire

Completed Background Checks (FBI, Child Abuse, Criminal, NSOR)
Willingness to complete additional training (Mandated reporting, First Aid/CPR, Water Safety, Health and Safety Basics, and other DHS required file items)
