- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or other related liberal arts discipline
- Six or more years of experience in business development, communications, media, marketing, and/or public relations in an academic non-profit, government, or industry organization
- Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of required education and related work experience
- Client service mindset with ability to take in and clarify objectives and goals of researchers and leadership
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including gathering input and building consensus
- Ability to manage many projects concurrently and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities

- Master's Degree

- Background know-how of organizational structure, business processes, and/or mission needs of the Air Force Research Laboratory or other government laboratory
- Ability to decipher complex government programs, technical language, and/or scientific research terminology

Job SummaryThe Air Force Research Laboratory Regional Network - Midwest, headquartered at Purdue University, is seeking a highly motivated individual to support efforts to increase engagement of existing and potential partners within academia, industry, and government. The Network Development Administrator will lead strategic business development efforts to enhance public and stakeholder awareness in support of the continued growth of the AFRL Midwest Network. This position will manage existing partnerships and collaborations and develop, execute, and report communication and outreach plans to ensure that partners and collaborators are informed and engaged. This position will identify, evaluate, and support strategic business alliances in line with mutually beneficial organizational goals. Establish and implement communication plans. Develop and nurture key partnerships with small businesses, corporations, foundations, government organizations, venture capitalists, economic development partners, and other academic institutions.
The top candidate will have experience managing complex engagement strategies and processes, communication impact about shared research efforts, and working within and across large organizations, including academic, government, and industry entities. This individual will also be responsible for supporting operations pertaining to the outreach and engagement efforts of the organization. This role will report to the Director of the AFRL Regional Network - Midwest.
