Location:
Kerman, CA. 93630

Pay:
Starting at $65k - $80k, based on experience and education level.

PLANT OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate the DCS or control board.
  • Troubleshoot field devices such as flow and temperature sensors, and final control elements, such as control valves
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and MSHA safety functions.
  • Operate plant equipment as per O&M manuals.
  • Maintain and repair all equipment involved in plant processes to keep within OSHA safety standards and EPA environmental codes.
  • Comply with all OSHA guidelines.
  • Comply with hydrogen safety as per guidelines in company's Hydrogen Safety Plan.
  • Be knowledgeable on NFPA 2, Hydrogen Technologies Code.
  • Prepare daily reports.
  • Collaborate with other operators to solve unit problems and troubleshoot plant issues.
  • Communicate with operations supervisors, regional managers, safety department, shop and maintenance employees and clerical staff.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Familiarity with troubleshooting/specifying electrical control panels.
  • Working knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meter, decibel meters, and communicating devices.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment, including maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the site for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment, with exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as required.

Education:


  • C10 License preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent minimum.
  • Technical or trade school education preferred.

Experience: 2 years minimum
