Hydrogen Plant Electrical Operator
Location:

Shift: Rotating Shifts
Pay:
Starting at $65k - $80k, based on experience and education level.

PLANT OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate the DCS or control board.
- Troubleshoot field devices such as flow and temperature sensors, and final control elements, such as control valves
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and MSHA safety functions.
- Operate plant equipment as per O&M manuals.
- Maintain and repair all equipment involved in plant processes to keep within OSHA safety standards and EPA environmental codes.
- Comply with all OSHA guidelines.
- Comply with hydrogen safety as per guidelines in company's Hydrogen Safety Plan.
- Be knowledgeable on NFPA 2, Hydrogen Technologies Code.
- Prepare daily reports.
- Collaborate with other operators to solve unit problems and troubleshoot plant issues.
- Communicate with operations supervisors, regional managers, safety department, shop and maintenance employees and clerical staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Familiarity with troubleshooting/specifying electrical control panels.
- Working knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meter, decibel meters, and communicating devices.
- Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment, including maintenance and repair procedures.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the site for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment, with exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as required.
Education:
- C10 License preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent minimum.
- Technical or trade school education preferred.
Experience: 2 years minimum
