- Supervise the month-end close process, encompassing account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Guarantee timely and precise completion of all month-end tasks.
- Assist in crafting annual budgets and forecasts.
- Track actual performance compared to the budget and offer variance analysis.
- Create, implement, and uphold effective internal control procedures.
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure conformity with internal policies and procedures.
- Oversee and guide accounting staff, delivering mentorship and support.
- Carry out performance evaluations and provide avenues for professional development.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Monitor aging reports and handle collections efforts.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and review tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Analyze financial data and offer insights to bolster strategic decision-making.
- Develop and deploy financial models to enhance reporting and forecasting accuracy.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to boost the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function.
- Utilize technology to streamline accounting processes and reporting.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Skills: Profound knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
