- Operates machines as necessary
- Assists with start up procedures in a timely manner
- Maintains quality product within the designated cell
- Performs visual inspections, reviews documentation, and audits production processes
- Insures proper identification of product within the cell
- Trains machine operators on proper loading/unloading of product, proper gauging and interpretation of readings, tool changing, and any other functions of the machine as necessary
- Maintains a safe, clean work area
- Maintains a 5S (Visual Factory) work cell
- Maintains adequate material within the cell
- Reports final production quantities and machine downtime
- Communicates to the supervisor on the status of the cell
- Strives for continuous improvement of the work cell
- Relieves operators for breaks and lunchesRequirementsEducation and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- - 2 years of experience in an industrial environment preferred
- Ability to become certified to drive a fork truck
