Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team. Dispatchers are key roles in our organization that connect us with our drivers, customers, and management. John To Go is expanding their services in the Long Island, NY area. If you have experience in logistics, fleet management, and possess strong organizational skills, we encourage you to apply.


Duties:

• Area knowledge of New York
• Must be familiar with truck nonCDL and CDL
• Communicate schedules, route changes, and customer information to drivers in the field.
• Handle all customer callins and updates customer on ETA's.
• Communicate with customers on missed services and provide solutions.
• Communicate with management team on issues.
• Work with customer service department on scheduling deliveries and/or services.
• Review driver Paperwork at end of day to ensure that notes have been documented.
• Conduct route check ins to ensure that all information on manifest is accurate and complete so that it can be posted properly.
• Route deliveries, pickup and services for next day.
• GEO Code routes and use software to optimize routing.
• Directly be able to manage up to 15 routes through the course of a day.
• Other task assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in logistics and dispatching operations
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience with transportation management systems and supply chain logistics
• Proficiency in using GIS, GPS, and other relevant tools for dispatching
• Excellent phone etiquette and experience with multiline phone systems
• Bilingual in Spanish is a big plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced environment

Pay:
$23.00 per hour

No less than 40 per week
