    Description

    Job Title: Monitor Technician

    Company: Health Services Provider

    • Maintains continuous observation, interpretation, communication, and documentation of cardiac rhythms.
    • Collaborates with clinical team in maintaining individualized alarm parameters.
    • Documents patient information related to telemetry initiation and discontinuation, and escalation of alarm information to RN and/or provider.
    • Cleans and prepares telemetry transmitter device and tracks telemetry-related equipment and supplies, troubleshoots monitor and transmitter functions with team.

    Skills Required:

    • 1 year of acute care experience, vital signs.
    • Improve customer experiences, monitor security, application health, quality, and performance.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

    Education/Training/Certifications:

    • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent training
    • Completed a Telemetry Certificate Course (or Advanced Medical Technician Program with focus on cardiac monitoring)
    • One year experience as a telemetry technician
    • BCLS certification (required)
    • Cardiovascular certification preferred (through Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
    • EKG Certification

    Additional Requirements:

    • Malpractice Insurance - All Clinical workers are required to have active individual medical malpractice. All copy must be provided prior to start of assignment. All clinical workers licensed by the state of NY are required to provide.
