    As the Regional Operations Manager at OneGenAway, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our operational processes in the Southeast region, encompassing locations in Franklin, TN, Decatur, AL, and Panama City, FL. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to ensure smooth and efficient operations while also spearheading initiatives to enhance warehouse management and operational policies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Collaboration with Director of Operations: Work closely with the Director of Operations to align regional strategies with overall organizational goals and objectives. Provide regular updates on regional operations and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.

    2. Interim TN Warehouse Manager: During the initial 3-6 months, assume the role of interim TN Warehouse Manager. Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, manage First Responders (route drivers), manage inventory, coordinate with suppliers, ensure timely delivery of goods to distribution points, and other functions as needed.

    3. Identification and Mentoring: Identify and mentor potential candidates to fill the permanent TN warehouse manager role. Provide guidance, training, and support to develop the skills and capabilities of the warehouse team.

    4. Assessment of Current Operations: Conduct a comprehensive assessment of operations in the Tennessee region. Evaluate existing processes, programs, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

    5. Policy Development: Working with the Director of Operations, develop and implement standardized policies and procedures for various operational programs based on assessment findings. Create a template for replication across other locations, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational objectives.

    6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, including the development team, to ensure alignment of operational strategies with fundraising and programmatic efforts.

    7. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Identify and mitigate potential operational risks effectively.

    8. Accountability Measures:

    Between the Director & Regional Manager, conduct monthly visits to each location, providing oversight and support.

    Review weekly reports submitted by the operations team, providing feedback and guidance.

    Hold bi-weekly Operations Zoom Calls to address issues, concerns, and opportunities.

    Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with area managers to discuss performance and address any operational challenges.

    9. Program Management: Ensure excellence in all operational programs across locations, including warehouse operations, Mobile Distributions, Partner Agency shopping, the DoorStep Pantry, and volunteer management. Monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for enhancement.

    Schedule:

    Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

    Saturday Distributions: Once you transition from the role of "interim warehouse manager," you will be required to attend distributions at least once per quarter. (More is welcomed) Occasionally, distributions may occur in Alabama (AL) or Florida (FL) that you will need to attend. If you participate in a Saturday Distribution, you are entitled to schedule a day off during the week to maintain a balanced work schedule.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma/GED required.

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

    Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the nonprofit sector or food distribution industry.

    Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    Proficiency in MS Office suite and operational management software.

    Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in food distribution and warehouse operations.
