About the Role


As a
Director of Community Management, you will lead the community management team for a global brand developing strategic approaches for audience growth, crafting custom responses and content for audience engagement, and helping us achieve maximum impact of the overarching brand story.

You will pitch bold social strategies, ideas and frameworks and stay on top of trending content and audience behaviors to inform opportunistic content and strategies.

You will work with teams to deliver our offering of an end-to-end integrated approach pulling together creative, media and data expertise to deliver nimble and result-driven campaigns for our clients.


_This is a hybrid position based in New York City._

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the senior client lead for community management, working with both global and local teams across the world.
  • Work with crossfunctional teams in social strategy, creative, production and analytics to build the brand offering at Ogilvy including structuring the team, hiring, and building process and protocols.
  • Manage the community managers across all activations for the brand from listening and responding to developing real time opportunities.
  • Maintain strong understanding of social platforms and take an active role in all aspects of a social media intensive projects — identifying the brand's issues, running competitive benchmarks, forming recommendations, building the architecture of proactive messaging, and reactive engagement.
  • Develops, leads and presents thoughtleadership; helps in the development of new thinking for the practice.
  • Manage client teams including marketing and operations regularly, to prepare processes and operational flows for channel and content management.
  • Escalate opportunities to client and serve as liaison between community management team and client teams.

What You'll Need

  • 10 years in a community manager role at a public relations, marketing or social media agency specifically managing teams for large brands.
  • Deep expertise with leveraging social publishing tools/platforms (such as Sprinklr and Hootsuite) and managing relationships with those platforms to identify beta opportunities and deep integration.
  • Strong strategic and client leader with ability to understand not only the social space but the larger business challenge and goals of the brand.
  • Ability to jump on quickturn new business, crisisrelated situations and able to own and lead a team through any situation.
  • Natural integrator able to partner with a variety of internal and external teams to come together to deliver communitycentered approaches across tactics.
  • Ability to problem solve, drive through ambiguity, and manage through client issues.
  • Ability to work effectively, proactively, and seamlessly amongst an integrated agency team.
  • Superior communication, organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.

LI-AO- The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. _We offer a competitive benefits package,_


Pay Range
