    CMI Group - Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
    Full time, day shift
    Eligible for quarterly shop bonus plan, up to $300 per quarter

    Responsibilities:

    Duties and Requirements:


    Understanding of B/P's including assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, abbreviations, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, and any other standard nomenclature per customer, government, or industry standards.

    Knowledge of SolidWorks (CAD software) modeling, drawings, assemblies, etc.
    Understanding of inspection, measuring and testing techniques used to verify dimensions and physical properties of product.

    Understanding of the limits and advantages of the various manufacturing processes (turning, milling, heat treating, EDM, anodizing, grinding, plating, etc.) used by the company and its subcontractors.

    Understanding of the limits and advantages of the various workholding methods available (collets, vise jaws, chuck jaws, fixtures, etc.)

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
    ·

    At least 10-15 years of related manufacturing experience,

    Aerospace

    is required.

    • Experience with process improvement methodologies to optimize efficiency and throughput.
    • In-depth understanding of mechanical and standardized processes.
    • 5+ years working with SolidWorks is required.
    • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

    Preferred Skills/experience:

    • Customer experience with Honeywell, Woodward, Raytheon, Boeing & Northrop Grumman is preferred
    • Strong knowledge in CNC programming
