RN - Registered Nurse - Medical Oncology Clinic - Stephenson Cancer Center - PRNSCC Multi-Disciplinary Clinic
The Medical Oncology Clinic is a Multidisciplinary Clinic at the Stephenson Cancer that supports multiple providers of several collaborative specialties such as Lung Screening, IVR, Gastroenterology, Colorectal, Thoracic, Pulmonology, Orthopedic and Surgical Oncology.
Shift :
Part-Time, PRN (minimum requirement of 1 shift every 2 weeks) Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.
Delivers patient care competently.Interacts with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.
Informs patient and family of hospital procedures.
Makes referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Delegates tasks to support staff.
Graduate from an accredited school school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s)
Required:
Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures.Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
Some computer skills.
