Job purposeAs the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting
software, hardware and consumable testing. For this role you will need to have a analytical
mindset and a strong business acumen, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
The goal of this role will be to help our Quality Assurance team run as smoothly and profitably as
possible through reducing testing timelines and improve repeatability within our testing cycles.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for building and managing the Quality Assurance team, including hiring,
- Develop manual and automated testing strategies to ensure smooth transition of products
- Establish team metrics for measuring quality and operational effectiveness
- As a team be an advocate for testability, be able to drive engineering practices and
- Have the ability to analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
- Maintain and foster trusting relationships with the executive and management team along
- Ensure the Quality Assurance team adheres to all company procedures and policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in computer science or a equivalent and/or
- 7+ years of experience in existing Quality Assurance role or vendor facing role will also
- 57 years of experience in software testing and test automation/performance
- Solid demonstrable understanding of software development and testing practices
- 2+ years of experience in leading Quality Assurance testing projects and teams
- Proficiency in programming using Python, C#, Java or other languages
- Expertise in developing test strategy, test plans and test cases
- Ability to engage in exploratory testing, creating and analyzing defect reports and root
- Experience in identifying performance, load, stress testing needs and planning, using
- Experience in performance testing tools like HP LoadRunner, Performance Center,
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Salesforce and ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite)
- Analytical mind with business acumen
- Problemsolving aptitude with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain strong organization amongst the Quality Assurance Team
This is an in-office position. Most of the time will be spent working on a computer with substantial
time spent looking at a computer screen.
Physical requirements
Some light to medium lifting may be required.
Pay:
$115, $125,000.00 per year
