The Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the program in accordance with regulatory, contractual requirements and organizational standards_.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT:


  • Monitors the program effectiveness to ensure that program is achieving its goals and targets as defined by DHS.
  • Manage the program multidisciplinary teams and ensures integration of delivery of services to the families.
  • Ensures program staff implement procedures and policies to ensure quality service provision.

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT:


FISCAL (If applicable)

  • Collaborates with Administrative Manager and/or Director of Administration in the development of annual operating budgets, reviews monthly expense reports, and ensures program expenditures are within budgeted parameters.
  • Ensures billing reports are submitted timely and collaborates with the organizations fiscal department to ensure that the Administrative Manager and/or Director of Administration responds timely to billing inquiries and request for billing corrections.
  • Reviews and approves purchase requisitions and ensures that all expenditures comply with organizational procurement procedures.

FACILITIES:


  • Collaborates with the Regional Director of Facilities/Operations in ensuring that the facilities operate in compliance with ECB, DOB, FDNY, etc. regulations.
  • Collaborates with the Regional Director of Facilities/Operations in ensuring that program meets 95% occupancy rate.
  • Monitors unit work orders and complaints and ensures the operations teams respond to work orders and complaints in a timely manner.

METRICS & PERFORMANCE:


  • Monitors and analyzes reports and dashboard to ensure the program meet annual program goals and targets which support the mission and vision of the organization.
  • Monitors DHS performance metrics and collaborates with program managerial and supervisory staff in developing strategies to ensure the program meets DHS performance metrics.

CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT (CQI):


  • Leads the implementation of continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Develops systems, process and tools which ensure the programs meet/exceed governmental/funder standards.
  • Conducts program audits to ensure compliance with organizational and government/funder standards.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Director of Quality Assurance and Program Development in analyzing findings from internal and external audits and establishing measures to improve the delivery of services and deficiencies.
  • Leads or participate in CQI projects and committees.

ADMINISTRATIVE:


  • Submits quality and timely reports to the organizations and other regulatory agencies as mandated to ensure the program complies with reporting requirements.

STAFF MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT:


  • Hires, trains, coaches, and provides support to direct reports. Provides ongoing performance feedback and reviews in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Ensures staff receive required trainings to ensure optimal performance and delivery of service to clients.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources in addressing staff performance issues.
  • Promotes collaboration and effective communication amongst staff and between departments through the development of interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS:


  • Establishes liaisons with appropriate community agencies to maintain linkages for services needed by the families.
  • Participate in local community meetings and serve as liaison with local community members and representatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:A Master's Degree in Social Worker from an accredited college/university.

  • NYS licensure (LCSW or LMSW) required.

Experience:A minimum of four years human services experience with at least two years of managerial and supervisory experience with demonstrated professional progression in supervision and program management. Experience with multi-problem families and/or individuals desirable.

Related Skills:Excellent analytical, evaluative, and human service management skills. Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and supervisory skills.

$90,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekends as needed
