North Point Technology is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support a critical mission out of Herndon, VA .

Applicants should be self-motivated, fast-paced, curious problem solvers with a BS in Computer Science or related field, plus the following skills/experience:

Basic Qualifications:

Prior system administration experience working with one or more of the following environments and applications:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Windows Server
- Amazon Web Services
Experience and familiarity with one or more of the following:
- COTS & GOTS software installation, updates, and maintenance
- Linux shell scripting
- Linux command line proficiency
Experience with AWS EC2 instances, RDS, and S3
Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams and job functions, bridging both sustainment and enhancement priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment

Desired Skills:

Minimum 2 years of geospatial domain experience
System administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, AWS
Experience managing and working with AWS S3, and EFS file systems
Experience with AWS auto scaling groups and CloudFormation
Experience troubleshooting and working with MySQL or PostgreSQL
Administration, operations, and maintenance of enterprise cloud systems
Administration, operations, and maintenance of non-cloud virtual environments
Experience applying and implementing operating system patches and upgrades
Experience with GVS Map of the World
Familiarity with RMF, NIST controls, STIGs
Experience with geospatial visualization tools such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcEarth, and/or Google Earth
Experience working within SAFe or other Agile Release Trains
Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II DoD approved 8570 baseline certifications
A TS/SCI clearance, with a final TS is desired, but not a requirement to start.
