    Job DescriptionJob Duties in Order of Importance: (The se duties are illustrative only. Incumbents may perform some or all of these duties or other job-related duties as assigned.)Evaluates, examines, analyzes, diagnoses & treats consumers, prescribes medication & performs in -depth psychotherapy & counseling (e.g., psychoanalysis, behavior modification).Monitors & coordinates professional & paraprofessional medical, nursing & direct care staff in areas related to psychiatric care; reviews consumer records for accuracy & completeness; recommends improvements in hospital staffing & organization. Conducts & participates in lectures & seminars in psychiatry or related field for professional & paraprofessional health care staff.Major Worker Characteristics:Knowledge of medicine; psychology; sociology; anatomy; physiology. Skill in administering medication. Ability to defineproblems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; interpret extensive variety of technical material in books, journals & manuals; deal with many variables & determine specific course of action; handle sensitive contacts with persons under medical care.Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment:Certificate to practice medicine per Section of Revised Code; satisfactory completion of residency trainingprogram in psychiatry, as approved by the residency review committee of the American Medical Association, thecommittee on post-graduate education of the American Osteopathic Association or the American Osteopathic Board ofNeurology & Psychiatry or has been recognized as a psychiatrist by the Ohio State Medical Association or the OhioOsteopathic Association on the basis of formal training & 5 or more yrs. of medical practice limited to psychiatry perSection E) of Revised Code.TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT :Biannual renewal of license with requirement of 100 hrs. of continuing education.UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Exposed to dangerous patients & infectious diseases; may require travel to community site under contract withDepartment of Mental Health.Remarks:Duration: At least 6 Months from projected start datePay Rate: Hours/Week: 40Start Time: 8:00 AMEnd Time: 4:30 AMMinimum Education Level: Doctoral Degree Submissions must include: Updated ResumeCover LetterRTR Healthcare-professional level CPR certificationOhio Medical LicenseDrug Enforcement Administration certification from Ohio Medical DiplomaIf Missing any documents, the bid will be rejected If Selected for the position (TB Test- Less than 30 days old) and Drug screen (HireRight - BCI and NDOT 9 Panel Drug Test w/eCOC-3.0) must be uploaded in prior to start.DL will be required prior to start.2 Peer reference will be do w/in 48 hours of accepting - (include name/email address)CAQH - is a plus No cell phones permitted until proper paperwork has been submitted and approved.
