Responsibilities:

• Identify pest species, rodents, signs of infestations, and damage caused by pests and/or rodents
• Comply with federal state and local laws to ensure the safe operations of hazardous materials related to our Pest Control services
• Conduct inspections of surroundings to ensure the area is clear of pests
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to discuss project requirements and timelines.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for pest control projects.
• Adhere to pest control codes, laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior pest control technicians.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure pest control materials and equipment.

Health & Safety Roles & Responsibilities:

• Reports any
  _unsafe acts, conditions and hazards_ to direct supervisor/manager immediately
• Reports
  _any contravention of legislation or company policy, procedure or program_ to direct supervisor/manager immediately
• Corrects
  _substandard acts or conditions_ within area of control
• Uses and maintains appropriate
  _personal protective equipment (PPE)_ as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s)
• Never removes or renders ineffective any
  _safety guards, devices, or clothing_ prescribed to be in place or worn
• Complies with the
  _general rules_ as prescribed by company program(s) procedure(s)
• Operates
  _devices or equipment_ as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s)
• Participates in any
  _safety initiatives, teams, or committees_:
• Reports all
  _injuries or incidents_ as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) immediately
• Provides input on developing
  _safety initiatives and plans_ to eliminate exposures that could cause accidents

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Pest Control Technician or similar role.
• Indepth knowledge of pest control codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of pest control systems, materials, and tools.
• Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Valid pest control license/certification.
• Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:

• This position involves physical labor and may require working in confined spaces or at heights.
• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, depending on the project.
• Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.
• May be required to work in hazardous environments or with potentially dangerous materials.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and oncall shifts as needed.
