SUMMARY
Responsible for superior customer service to our customers. Responds to customer inquiries regarding our products, policies and procedures. Takes action in the resolution of customer grievances. Assumes cashier and picking responsibilities when processing customer orders. Receives, stores and distributes merchandise, material, tools, and equipment in the warehouse.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Care:

  • Greet customers entering establishment and answer phones in a timely, pleasant and professional manner.
  • General cashier duties such as: compute, process and record sales transactions, balance cash drawer daily at the start and end of shift, deliver superior customer service and promote sales.
  • Administrative duties associated with recording and filing documents for daily sales, managing the system, recordkeeping and monthly reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Warehouse:

  • Assist in shipping and receiving duties such as: unload trucks, validate merchandise received against what was ordered and check for damage. Prepare orders for shipping. Sort, move, store &/or distribute merchandise accordingly.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, may also relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Complete work orders, requests for materials, tools, &/or stock and prepare for relocation in the warehouse, distribution &/or shipping.
  • Ensure warehouse and work area is clean, organized, safe and accessible at all times.
  • Update the system with daily orders of items received, distributed and shipped.
  • Assist with physical inventory count.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Retail experience and extensive Customer Service skills preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • Strong communications skills, able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
  • Fundamental mathematics skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to multitask and strive in a fastpaced environment
  • Wear proper protective equipment, adhere to safety requirements
  • Must be able to work Saturdays (No exceptions)
Travel Requirement: 15%


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED; three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 12yrs Customer Service experience working in retail, sales and service.
  • Experience and proficiency with Corbiz/SAP is a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl frequently
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
  • Occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds'
