What You Will Achieve

This is a laboratory-based position within the Vaccine Research and Development - Analytical GLP laboratory group.

The individual will plan and lead routine sample testing and assay verification and qualification studies in support of material characterization of early vaccine GLP toxicology studies.

Assays include standard analytical separations techniques (HPLC, FA), Immunoassays (nephelometry, MSD) and spectroscopic techniques (e.g., UV-Vis).

How You Will Achieve Document experiments, analyze data, and provide conclusions obtained from sample testing contemporaneously in notebook as directed.- Identify opportunities for method improvements and troubleshoot the technical issues. Draft and revise laboratory methods and reports. Serve as an SME.

Train analysts on assays, provide mentorship and technical guidelines.- Independently plan and prioritize their own workload to ensure timelines are met.- Collaborate with and lead other colleagues within the analytical group to support completion of assay verification/qualification tasks as needed.- Where applicable, perform job responsibilities in compliance with GLP requirements.- The individual is expected to contribute and participate in general laboratory maintenance activities (such as maintenance of equipment, managing laboratory waste).

Qualifications:

Must-Have- BS or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline with at least at least 6 (BS) or 4 (MS) years of relevant GLP work experience is required.- Experience and proficiency in separation-based analytical techniques (HPLC-UV, HPLC-CAD), bioassays (PCR-based techniques, MSD, Nephelometry, Slot Blot) and spectroscopic techniques (UV-VIS.).

is preferred.- Demonstrate leadership, technical skills and scientific expertise in analytical method qualification/verification and troubleshooting.- Motivated, detail-oriented, with good laboratory skills.- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS- Standard laboratory conditions - sitting, standing, primarily lab based- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS- 40 hours per week.

On Premise colleagues work in a Pfizer site because it's needed to get their job done. They may have flexibility to work remotely from time to time, but they are primarily onsite.
