    • The MD, Flight Training Operations is responsible for the planning and operation of our Flight Training Department, providing sufficient facilities, planning, and staffing that enables the efficient and timely training of our pilot work force.

    What you'll do

    • Manages the day-to-day requirements of the Flight Academy, including Flight Training Planning and Scheduling, Flight Training Services, Pilot Ground School, and Simulator Support
    • Maintains optimum efficiency of the Flight Academy, in order to achieve flight training goals
    • Manages large and complex projects from end-to-end, using project plans to track performance and ensure timely completion
    • Oversees the scheduling of pilots while in various phases of training
    • Manges the maintenance, scheduling, and purchase of flight simulators
    • Manages the pilot ground school requirements and throughput
    • Directs the financial aspects and budgeting of the Flight Academy

    All you'll need for success

    Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training; Advanced Degree preferred
    • 10 years of leadership experience, including airline operations, airline finance, or flight training
    • Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity

    • Highly developed interpersonal skills, demonstrated through experience developing and growing internal, external and cross-functional relationships

    • Ability to build consensus and influence others through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills
    • Impeccable project planning and organizational skills, with ability to effectively and simultaneously manage multiple large projects within tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail
    • Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing landscapes and to work well under pressure and deadlines
    • Ability to exercise sound business judgement and handle confidential information with sensitivity
    • Ability to distill complex messages into simple, relevant, and meaningful communications
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively and clearly communicate a strategic vision; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
    • Ability to travel
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
