- The DevOps Intern is responsible for analyzing needs for custom or off-the-shelf tools to support all aspects of the product development process, designing and implementing the systems and associated automation to meet those needs and working with all teams within the company to leverage available tools and systems for maximum development efficiency. You will help to apply processes and best practices of GitOps to automate infrastructure in cloud platforms.
- Develop tools and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of embedded and Web application software development and verification through Gitlab automation
- Support software development operations by maintaining and improving continuous integration, automated test and deployment systems in cloud-based development environments
- A rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 working towards a degree in CS, EE or other engineering discipline
- Familiar with at least one scripting language (Python, BASH, Javascript)
- Familiar with highly automated software development processes and modern tools (git, Bitbucket/GitLab/GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins/Bamboo, etc.)
- Interest in working with a variety of tools and technologies to solve the problems at hand
- Comfortable with Linux command line and Bash/Shell scripting
- Passionate about aviation and the future of transportation
- Experienced with configuration management, GitOps, and IaC tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform)
- Proficiency in containerization and cloud infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP)
- Prior experience with software build systems (Bazel, Make, Scons)
- Proficiency in C/C++, Go or other modern object oriented programming language
- Previous projects developed in C/C++
- Full stack development experience (SPAs, Javascript, HTML/CSS, etc.)
- You are a highly motivated, self starting individual with a broad set of skills and never afraid of facing complex technical challenges
- You are a solution oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset
- You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communications to suit the audience
- You can adapt quickly or propose changes needed to achieve early results in a timely fashion
- You embrace challenges and take commitments and deliver results within reasonable expectations
