Performs one of a number of tasks relating to the preparation and service of food, the delivery and collection of food and supplies, the appropriate operation of machinery and the sanitation of specific

Job Responsibility

  • Updates and assembles trays according to patient menus
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work stations, including walkin refrigerator and rethermalization units, walls, floors and counter tops.
  • Rotates food using "first in first out" policy.
  • Adheres to safety and sanitation policy.
  • Delivers trays to serving areas or to patients and returns trays for cleanup in a timely manner.
  • Puts away weekly supply deliveries, stocks unit pantries according to guidelines.
  • Setsup and delivers tube feedings and bulk nourishment supplies to patient units.
  • Performs the function of a counter person in the cafeteria.
  • Carries out the functions of a cashier.
  • Performs related duties, as required.
  • ADA Essential Functions
Job Qualification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Institutional kitchen experience, preferred.
  • Ability to read and write in English and follow oral and written instructions.
