Summary This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), in IT Project Management (JLP), Enterprise Shared Services (JL), Information Technology (J).
A successful candidate in the Supervisory IT Project Manager position will serve as the Manager of the Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office (PMO) and is a key member of the IT management team.
Responsibilities As a Supervisory IT Project Manager, you will:Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Make decisions on work problems presented by subordinates, contractors and managed services.Ensure projects within the IT PMO portfolio are initiated, planned and executed efficiently and effectively in accordance to the System Life Cycle (SLC).
Give presentations or briefings to executives, management, sponsors and stakeholders on all aspects of the IT PMO Portfolio.Participate with other cross-agency managers in planning, implementing, and evaluating the entire IT project management program, including continuous improvements on frameworks, methodologies and processes.
Manage the IT project portfolio capital and expense budget as allocated.Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications BASIC REQUIREMENT:
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-13] in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as applying advanced IT project management principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to:(1) Develop new or modified long-range Information Technology (IT) policies for systems and processes; (2) Plan and execute multiple IT projects to ensure efficient and effective technology solutions; (3) provide advice and guidance to agency officials responsible for broad program operations within the area of expertise; and (4) Present technical reports or briefings to defend IT requirements. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience.
Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
