Traveler Product Strategy Director Job Description

Expedia's Product & Technology Division Strategy team is looking for a Strategy Director to help us deliver amazing experiences to our travelers & craft our strategy for the future.

The Product Strategy team works with local and global teams to set strategy and drive business goals.

You will play a key role in leading company-wide strategic projects while working across divisions with senior members of the Product, Technology, Marketing, Analytics, and Finance teams.

We will help you grow as a problem solver, relationship builder, and communicator with skills to drive projects successfully across a broad range of topics and personalities.

What You'll Do

Deeply understand our products and our business, and identify opportunities to create innovative customer experiences, while driving business growth
Help craft and deliver strategic product plans and resulting roadmaps using data, imagination, and understanding of traveler experience, industry, and ecommerce
Tackle complex business challenges, owning the definition, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives, driving the business forward
Establish and own relationships with senior internal partners in the Product & Technology division
Frame strategic tradeoffs both orally and in writing, while considering inputs from many Expedia teams
Manage complex webs of stakeholders, often with strongly held, differing opinions
Drive decisionmaking and alignment by working directly with senior leadership across Expedia Group
In partnership with finance and planning, help allocate resources appropriately against key initiatives and estimate financial benefit & returns
Partner with Product & Analytics teams to define, establish, and track highest priority initiatives through OKRs to ensure business

Who You Are
years experience at a top-tier strategy/management consulting firm, or equivalent tech product management, and/or corporate strategy experience

You're great at taking gnarly, ambiguous problems, giving them structure, and systematically solving them
You have deep experience driving alignment with executive teams that hold differing opinions
You bring a deep understanding of ecommerce, twosided marketplaces, and/or travel businesses
You're a seasoned storyteller, builder of executive presentations, and are able to communicate complex concepts in a simple, highly structured, datadriven way
You're a seasoned builder of driversbased financial models / business cases
You're a collaborative leader who builds high performing teams; direct reports and your peers want to work with you
You have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate issues and influence others internally and externally.
You're expertlevel with PowerPoint and Excel
You're passionate about travel & technology, & want to go places with us

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $196,000.00 to $274, Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $185,500.00 to $260, Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $297,000.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $196,000.00 to $274, Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
