Job Overview:
Job Description and Requirements:
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Provide support to operational leaders to plan and execute purchasing processes and provide effective communication to all departments.
- Oversee project timelines for engineering activities related to purchasing job specific material or supplies and equipment.
- Analyze vendor performance annually
- Administer everyday activities of procurement including:
- Requesting quotes from multiple suppliers
- Creating Purchase Orders
- Following up on open orders
- Communicating with internal customers regarding status of open Purchase Orders
- Manage supplier agreements and partner with leadership to administer best pricing strategies for purchased materials and suppliers
- Maintain material plans with the inventory control department and ensure materials are purchased on schedule based on min/max system.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Multitasker
- Detail Oriented
- Understanding of supply chain, contract management, inventory, and logistics
- Ability to build forward thinking partnerships with suppliers.
- Strong communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences.
- Experience in the purchasing field, or 2 years in metals manufacturing
