Engineer (m/f/d) as Deputy Head of Department at the Lower Emission Control, Water and Waste Management Authority at the Environmental and Consumer Protection Office of the City of Cologne Make Cologne - more livable WE ARE LOOKING FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTORS The Environmental and Consumer Protection Office, located in the Stadthaus Deutz, is responsible for various aspects of environmental, nature, animal, and consumer protection.

We are currently seeking an engineer (m/f/d) as Deputy Head of Department for the Department of Trade, Crafts, Gastronomy, Agriculture, Associations, and Drainage at the Lower Emission Control, Water and Waste Management Authority.

The Department of Lower Emission Control, Water and Waste Management Authority, with over 60 employees, acts as a special regulatory authority for commercial and industrial businesses in all aspects of emission control, water and waste management.

The businesses located in the dynamic and future-oriented city of Cologne, with over 10,000 operating facilities, are advised, monitored, and approved in terms of environmental media.

New environmental regulations and evolving technology are evaluated through projects and concepts to ensure environmental protection through proper and practical action.

The position includes the deputy management of the department in terms of technical, organizational, and personnel leadership, with currently 8 employees.

It also involves the independent supervision of outstanding businesses and city-wide projects, particularly in the areas of reducing packaging waste, establishing reusable systems, and minimizing odors from charcoal grills.
