Our scopes of work include furnish and install various architectural products for federal entities, multi-family units, schools, hotels, offices, senior living facilities and other large scale architectural projects.

Responsibilities:

The Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager responsibilities include meeting the project's objectives and overseeing quality control of the project.

In this role, you will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to the contract documents, specifications and schedule while keeping within budget.


  • Adherence to Regional's budget for labor and material
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Experience reading specifications and architectural drawings.
  • Ensuring required documentation are submitted to the clients per the schedule
  • Developing, tracking and follow up on project RFI's to ensure on time delivery of products and services
  • Assisting the project managers with relevant project related data for production meetings.
  • Assisting to improve job processes (RFI's, submittals, material handling), with prior approval from management.
  • Ensuring all products selected meet the requirements of the project plans, specifications, and other related costs (taxes, shipping, badging, etc.)
  • Securing multiple quotes for all products specified and required.
  • Securing shop drawings, engineer calculations, schedule deliveries, and more.
  • Maintain all project logs in a timely and organized manner, ensuring documents and information sharing within the network is seamless. Includes but not limited to RFI logs, change order logs, submittals, schedules, correspondence, and more.
  • Proactive responses to project team and Regional staff needs to ensure proper scheduling, ensuring project quality control and establishing overall project logistics
  • Managing submittals, samples, close out documents, and more.
  • Working with the project team to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate prior to awarding contracts.
  • Assisting to follow up on open proposals, outstanding change orders and extra work orders.
  • Work with the project management team, management and others to secure pricing, quotes, review scope with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors as needed.

  • Proactive in all phases of project management by staying in constant contact with customer to complete project with mínimal errors.
  • Under the direction of management, the APM will accompany the management team or project managers to job sites, visits vendors and suppliers for the purposes of learning the project, site inspections, inventory control and other project related functions.
  • Responsible for knowing all aspects of our computer system as it relates to project management, estimating software and Division 10 related software.

  • Minimum fiveyears of experience in commercial construction.
  • Great communication skills, especially written correspondence with details, content and format.
  • Strong and decisive leadership capabilities
  • Knowing when to ask for assistance in a timely manner to avoid problems or interruption of service.
  • High energy level and a positiveattitude.
  • Attention to details to ensure accuracy of pricing and product data.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience with estimating software

Pay:
$60, $70,000.00 per year
