Job Description Qualifications:
The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Customer Support organization is currently seeking Experienced Structural Repair Engineers to join their team in Seal Beach, CA.As a Structural Repair Engineer, you will provide support in the development of the Structural Repair Manual (SRM).
You'll be responsible for participating in the development of practical and economical retrofit and repair plans to meet customer needs, which will be incorporated into the SRM.
Position Responsibilities:
Integrate data from production and retrofit drawings, specifications, product standards, tooling designs, internal/external publications, test/inspection procedures, and customer information to a ensure complete and accurate SRM proceduresCoordinate with FAA Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) and IPT groups, such as stress and materials engineering groups, to ensure feasibility, safety, and compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standardsManage work assignments based on a mutually agreed schedule with internal and external stakeholdersAnalyze basic customer technical queries and provide retrofit/repair solutions when necessaryValidates and verifies systems and components by integrating analytical and test results to ensure they meet requirements and specificationsUse ENOVIA, CATIA, IVT, and other internal tools to research and understand structural parts, designs, and finishesResearch and review Stress Engineering's strength check notes and other engineering data to formulate allowable damage limits and repair procedures in the SRMAssist in developing SRM procedures for various components throughout the airframeCoordinate with various engineering groups and E-UMs to provide FAA approved structural repairs to meet regulatory/customer requirements and schedulesAssist in providing updates and necessary improvements to the SRM to improve customer satisfaction, efficiency, and to meet changing requirementsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.This position must meet export control compliance requirements.

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science5+ years' experience with structural design principles for repair and maintenance (e.g.
, fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques)5+ years' experience with coordinating across multiple disciplines to develop repair dataPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience using engineering design tools such as CATIA, ENVOVIA, and/or PDM3+ years of experience working with FAA continued airworthiness requirements3+ years of experience working with FAA or Regulatory AdministrationExperience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations and environmentStrong written and verbal communications and presentation skillsTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
