    Job Summary:

    • As a Senior Engineer, you will utilize your unique abilities and perspectives as a member of teams working across the South Central Region and throughout the United States.
    • You will be responsible for managing public sector projects related to water and wastewater facilities planning and design.
    • In this role, you will strategize, develop, organize, and oversee at least one major project and/or multiple smaller projects concurrently.
    • Your responsibilities will include guiding and/or producing facility assessment and design reports, conducting design calculations, performing process and/or hydraulic modeling, selecting equipment, sizing equipment, creating design and construction documents, and assisting in construction phase services both on-site and in the office.
    • There may be occasional travel involved for fieldwork and site visits from the planning phase through construction.
    • You will provide guidance to and mentor junior engineers and will receive support from experienced mentors on various projects as well as from local and regional office leaders.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Required:

    • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
    • Several years of project management and design experience for water/wastewater facility projects post PE licensure
    • Demonstrated experience in overseeing water and/or wastewater facility projects from initial design to completion
    • Proven success in managing multiple project teams, delivering high-quality projects within set timelines and budgets
    • Experience in supervising, coordinating, mentoring, and reviewing the work of team members
    • Ability to estimate workload effectively and create schedules
    • Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients
    • Participation in proposal development and interview processes
    • Active engagement with professional organizations by attending meetings and conferences
    • Proficiency in common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, etc.)
    • Strong organizational skills

    Preferred:

    • Experience in managing projects with budgets exceeding $2M
    • Experience in negotiating contracts with multiple clients
    • Experience in recruiting team members
    • Engagement in leadership roles within professional societies
    • Familiarity with CADD, GIS, Revit, and other relevant software

    Education:

    Required:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
    • Texas PE or licensed PE in another state with the capacity to acquire Texas PE within a year of starting

      • Preferred:

      • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
      • Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
