Description
Serve as a technical resource to execute Quality Management System requirements through effective Problem-Solving, Investigative Analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action, Non-conformance Management, and Continuous Quality Improvement.
Essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Chair Internal MRB (Material Review Board) process meetings to ensure effective MRB process execution to minimize Product Risk and optimize cost.
- Conduct Product Quality investigations to determine Root Cause and Corrective Actions to prevent reoccurrence. Present results in reports suitable for review by all LH Product Stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and provide technical analysis support to Quality Process Metrics (KPIs) to ensure Quality procedure Compliance and improve performance.
- Perform "Focal Point Analysis" of Customer Defect and Discrepancy List Findings to determine which require Corrective Actions to be assigned.
- Ensure QC Coordinator compliance to process, to include assisting QC Supervision/Management with managing Quality Notification priorities, queues, and backlog.
- Act as a Change Agent for leading activities to improve quality, eliminate waste, and continuously improve all areas throughout the Assembly and Flight Line process.
- When needed, coordinate with other LH Plants and External Suppliers for RCCA Analysis and implementation of Quality Plans as required.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Manufacturing discipline preferred or equivalent combined experience.
- Green Belt Certification will be considered a plus.
- A&P License will be considered a plus.
- Minimum 35 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Quality Control / Quality Assurance role.
- Working knowledge of Problem-Solving, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigmabased analysis methods.
- Handson aircraft experience desirable.
- LH Product experience is a plus.
Technical skills:
- Ability to read and understand design data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Languages:
- English.
IT skills:
- Computer proficiency required, particularly with Microsoft PCbased software, especially spreadsheets.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Must be a team player, reliable, selfmotivated, and an effective communicator.
