    Description

    Position Title: Aircraft Systems Engineer II

    Company: Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation

    Aircraft Systems Engineer II in GAC Savannah

    This position is ideal for upcoming Master's Degree graduates looking to kickstart their career in Systems Engineering at one of the leading aerospace companies in the industry.



    • Upcoming Master's Degree graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to beginning employment.


    Unique Skills:

    • Familiar with principles of Systems Engineering such as Requirements Management, Validation, Verification, Change Management, Process Assurance, and Functional Integration.
    • Support Systems Engineering processes, drive their implementation for future projects, and ensure on-time delivery of program milestones.
    • Experience with relational databases (e.g., DOORS, Teamcenter) for requirements management.
    • Contribute to the development of standards and guides for Systems Engineering processes.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 18 months of related Engineering experience.
    • Credit given for advanced degrees: up to 2 years for Master's and 4 years for PhD.


    Position Purpose: Performs engineering tasks related to research, design, development, service, and manufacturing of Gulfstream aircraft.



    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

    Essential Functions:

    • Resolve engineering problems within assigned discipline.
    • Provide technical support to engineering staff and contribute to project milestones.
    • Manage complex engineering tasks and follow established schedules.
    • Ensure accuracy and adherence to company/organization policies and procedures.

    Additional Functions:

    • Focus on process improvement and customer satisfaction.
    • Stay updated on technical developments and apply them in the field.

    Perform other assigned duties as necessary.



    Other Requirements:

    • Demonstrate technical skills appropriate for the role.
    • Provide solutions to technical problems using judgment and defined practices.
    • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly in written and verbal communication.
    • Work under supervision and mentor lower-level engineering staff.
