    Description
    *Title: Chemical lab Technician**Location: Charlotte, NC

    *Duration: 12+ Months Contract**Description*Chemistry lab technicians assist chemists in their lab work. As time progresses, lab technicians are completing a greater number of tasks that previously would have been performed by highly trained chemists. Technicians are responsible for monitoring chemical processes and testing products as part of quality assurance. Under the supervision of chemists and other team members, they perform repetitive lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment and preparing chemical solutions. They also conduct tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.

    Looking for a recent grad. HM is not looking for a senior level person.


    The selected candidate will be required to assist the R&D Pilot Plant Team with equipment setup, chemical handling, sample analytics, process operations, cleaning and organization of tools and equipment, as well as proper disposal of research samples.

    May need to assist in moving and assembling large and heavy equipment. May also need to lift and move large containers up to 40 lbs.

    *Qualification
    • Minimum BS in a scientific discipline such as chemistry or chemical engineering.
    • Ability to lift and/or move heavy equipment, containers, and hoses (intermediate – required)
    • Ability to prioritize tasks (intermediate - required)
    • Analytical Instrumentation (intermediate - required)
    • Assembling (intermediate - required)
    • Collection of Data (basic)
    • Computer Literacy (intermediate - required)
    • Hand tool experience (intermediate - required)

    Job Types:
    Contract, Temporary


    Pay:
    Up to $18.00 per hour


    Schedule:

    • 8 hour shift
    • Day shift
    • Monday to Friday
    • Morning shift

    Experience:

    • Laboratory: 5 years (Required)
    • Analytical chemistry: 1 year (Preferred)

    Ability to Commute:

    • Charlotte, NC (Required)
