- A Brief Overview
The Warehouse Associate I is a key member of the warehouse team with key responsibilities centered around preparing our glass for distribution, safely operating our Order Picker to retrieve and put away glass on the racks and any other activities that support the warehouse operation to run effectively.
Ensures that all inventory is safely and securely loaded and properly labeled for distribution with appropriate care. Transports and unloads inventory from the warehouse to retail locations. Loads return inventory at the stores for transportation and unloads upon arrival to warehouse.
Ensures inventory accuracy for all deliveries and returns. Identifies, documents, and reports any missing, lost, or damaged materials.
Perform routine pre-trip vehicle safety inspection in accordance with company policy and notify manager of any necessary vehicle maintenance needs.
Provide daily operations for warehouse management, including: building maintenance, cleaning, inventory preparation and bin maintenance.
Performs other duties as assigned

Experience Qualifications
less than 1 year experience warehouse or manufacturing Preferred
Ability to operate (or learn to operate) Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Eventual completion of MHE certification (Order Picker). Required
Previous Delivery Driver experience Preferred
Skills and Abilities
Must be 18 years of age or older
Physical requirements are inclusive, but not limited to, the following:
Ability to work from the warehouse location
Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and courteously, adhering to all Company policies and procedures relating to safety.
This includes obeying all traffic laws and regulations and maintaining a valid driver's license with a driving record that falls within the Company requirements.
Must be able to operate or have the ability to learn to operate Material Handling Equipment (order picker, reach truck and forklift)Ability to satisfy all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements as outlined in the Field Supplemental Handbook (i.e., ability to wear safety glasses while in the warehouse)
Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions in warehouse and dock areas (seasonal heat and cold in environment that is not air conditioned), drive for an extended period of time, and repeatedly lift up to 35lbs and occasionally lift up to 50lbs
To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds.
Ability to fulfill and successfully pass all background screening requirements and drug screening, as required by Company policy.
Ability to work independently, with mínimal supervision
Ability to complete all assigned training and certifications within the allotted timeframe
Maintain a professional appearance
Ability to remain flexible with hours and days trained/worked as workload fluctuates due to frequent changes in customer and business demands.
