SUMMARY:


Employees of Bluejack National ensure that the highest level of service is offered to members and guests by providing personal, gracious and professional service.

As a Recreation Assistant you will oversee the organization, coordination, and implementation of the Childcare program for the members and guests of Bluejack.


Job duties will include the involvement of all aspects of major club functions and other projects and activities assigned to increase relationships within the Bluejack community.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTION(S):

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Communicate daily with management to ensure a coordinated effort at providing a year-round experience for members and guests.
  • Ensure compliance with prescribed standards in the areas of guest satisfaction and enforce all club rules and regulations.
  • Actively monitor the Fort to ensure standards of operation are constantly met or exceed the presently established guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate operational activities with key relationships in all areas of the club.
  • Assist in the supervision of inventory management and cost control.
  • Assist in coordinating exciting programs for children
  • Welcomes new club members; meets and greets all club members as practical during their visits to the club.
  • Keep area clean and ensure tools for children stay clean.
  • Supervise inventories of all paints, crafts and children's games.
  • Inspect outlet daily prior to opening and again at closing to ascertain any maintenance, repairs or additional cleanup needs.
  • Ensure all children are signed in and have any special needs filled out (such as eating times, allergies, and any special instructions).
  • Hold daily "preshift" meetings with employees relieving you.
  • Handle any problems as they arise with each individual child.
  • Handle member problems and complaints as professionally as possible or refer to the Director of Recreation
  • Maintain adequate amount of service supplies
  • Assist with any special project as assigned by management.
  • All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Good organization skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain sound relationships and communications with members, guests, vendors, clients, etc.
  • Ability to set priorities and adjust to changing conditions.
  • Possession of valid driver's license
  • High work ethic, with sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.
  • Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Applicant must exhibit a professional appearance.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:


  • Parttime or fulltime position
  • Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays. Flexible hours as business dictates.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying

  • This position requires an average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and standing.
  • Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Bending/Kneeling

  • This position requires an average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching, sitting and standing. This position requires this type of activity throughout the day.
