QUALIFICATIONS:

- such as Lists and Planner. Skilled in e-communications.

  • Experience with data entry using customer or relationship management database tools such as SalesForce, Raiser's Edge, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude at all times. True "customer service" attitude, with colleagues, funders, and donors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic understanding, or willingness to learn, basic principles of grant development.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • An understanding of, or willingness to learn, organization mission and benefits of contributed revenue to the organization.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with various types of people, including highlevel volunteers and funders.
  • Professional presentation and appearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A GRANTS COORDINATOR:


  • Perform a variety of administrative support activities to ensure that grants' requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain a grant management system for funded grants that includes report due dates, budget adherence, impact of grants, and any other grant requirements.
  • Assist in report tracking and ensure relevant reporting templates are available.
  • Perform prospective and current funder research.
  • Write and/or generate correspondence related to the grant development program.
  • Set up meetings as requested, attend, take minutes, and create action item lists.
  • Ensure that all donor recognitions are properly noted in the donor database.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all gifts through the YMCA and other office assignments.
  • Assists with financial development team's special projects, as assigned, and as time permits.
