The Duchess Elisabeth Hospital Foundation (HEH) in Braunschweig provides care for approximately 950 inpatients and outpatients in the departments of orthopedics, surgery, vascular surgery, internal medicine, geriatrics, anesthesia and intensive care. Comprehensive knowledge is essential for good nursing. This is not only taught theoretically. As an apprentice for nursing professionals, you will spend a large part of your three-year training on various wards of the Duchess Elisabeth Hospital, gaining valuable practical experience from the first year of training. However, the practical phase of approximately hours also includes external assignments in health facilities cooperating with HEH. The theoretical training comprises approximately hours and takes place in the hospital's own vocational nursing school in block lessons lasting four to six weeks.
