The CSM oversees direct care staff to maximize staff engagement and scheduling efficiency while maintaining a culture supporting the company's "I Promise" Statements.

The CSM trains and mentors staff to support their retention and growth within the company.

Responsibilities and Activities

  • Manage Caregiver Retention develop and lead processes to facilitate company culture and ensure caregivers feel welltrained and supported in their work
  • Lead Care Quality Initiative provide consistent and frequent mentoring and performance feedback to ensure caregiver accountability to "I Promise" statements and C.A.R.E. Value Statement
  • Create & Manage Caregiver Schedules strategically oversee the scheduling process to maximize caregiver availability and accommodating activities and outings; ensure all shifts are staffed by responding quickly to scheduling needs due to vacations, illness, etc while minimizing overtime
  • Professional Development engage in and attend regular meetings to address issues, evaluate metrics, and continue to improve all aspects of the company and employees.

Required:


  • Ability to perform direct care responsibilities, transportation, and supervising activities and outings to facilitate training and fill in for open shifts
  • Ability to follow written care plans, communicate potential changes/improvements to care plans, and dispense medications if needed
  • Participate in rotation for evening, holiday and weekend oncall manager duties which may include answering phone calls, transportation and covering open shifts
  • Familiarity and ability to utilize Microsoft products, scheduling software, and other technologies, and comfort with assisting others with their use of technology
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems under pressure and seek additional assistance in a prudent manner
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with residents/guardians, other employees, and partner agencies
  • Willingness to be a backup to colleagues as needed
  • 2+ years' experience with personal care work and home management procedures
  • Working knowledge of the English language
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred:


  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to healthcare, human services and/or business
  • 2+ years' experience leading others
  • 2+ years' experience working with adults with special needs

Other Requirements

  • Sound physical health that allows for performing activities that use the whole body, ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach overhead, stoop, kneel, and crouch up to eight hours a day
  • Sounds mental health that allows working in a fastpaced environment and can accommodate challenging situations
  • Pass criminal, civil and Wisconsin Caregiver background checks
  • Possess a valid driver's license without any DWI, DUI or reckless driving convictions in the past seven years and no more than two traffic tickets in the past three years
