West Side House located in Worcester, MA is seeking Helping Hands to join our team and uphold our high standards of resident care.

West Side House is a family-owned and operated skilled nursing center that has been serving seniors for nearly 50 years.

Our 60-bed facility specializes in Short Term Care, Long Term Care, Rehabilitation, and Sub-acute Care.

JOB SUMMARY:

Helping Hand cares for and assist residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.

Assists in sanitizing resident hands prior to meals, passing and setting up meal trays once checked by the nurse, making beds, denture care, combing resident hair, auditing for placement of adaptive devices such as eyeglasses, dentures, hand rolls, booties etc.

Cleaning shower and utility rooms, ensuring call lights are in reach of residents and straightening closets.

Helping Hand must possess genuine interest in geriatric nursing and possess an even disposition and personality conducive to a supportive environment for residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school education or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to read, write and speak English.
