    Description

    Overview:

    We are a custom automation solutions provider seeking a Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of design and programming skills, with a focus on integrating various components from manufacturers to develop innovative automation solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong teamwork ethic, and a willingness to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and implement control systems for custom automation projects.
    • Program PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices to meet project requirements.
    • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate control systems with mechanical components.
    • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure functionality and performance.
    • Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Assist in the commissioning and startup of automation systems at client sites.
    • Document project requirements, designs, and implementation details.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in controls engineering, preferably within a manufacturing or automation environment.
    • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI development.
    • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control system design principles.
    • Hands-on experience with automation components such as conveyors, robots, sensors, etc.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% to client sites for project installations and support.
