THE POSITION:


DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


  • As a Tax Systems Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and documenting comprehensive test plans in connection with the testing of system changes, as well as ensuring that the system has been properly configured for use by the Department. This includes verifying that interface data is successfully received, processed, generated, and/or transmitted between the system and interface partners. Assist with conducting detailed analysis to identify more effective and efficient methods for receiving and processing system data.
  • You will have the opportunity to participate in reviews of tax legislation, regulations, policies and procedures, advising the division chief of potential system impacts. Excellent interpersonal skills are vital, as you will be communicating with Pennsylvania Tax Hub (PATH) stakeholders, including management and supervisory personnel, as a means of conveying system viability and possible program enhancements or modifications.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment-
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.-
    Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.-

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Five years of professional work in a tax business operations area;
    or
  • One year of professional work in a tax business operations area, and a bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, information systems, or a related field;
    or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training

Additional Requirements:


  • You must be able to perform essential job functions
