Description

As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies.

Your role will contribute to the overall success of our organization by maintaining optimal inventory levels and fostering strong relationships with suppliers.

• Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers
• Place purchase orders for materials, supplies, and equipment
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with other departments to forecast demand
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure ontime delivery of goods
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders or deliveries
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
• Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
• Familiarity with materials management and production planning processes
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions based on market trends and pricing information
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
