MECHATRONIK Bachelor of Engineering (Ulmer Model)


The Ulmer Model degree program combines vocational training as an industrial mechanic with a university degree in the field of mechatronics.

This allows you to obtain two qualifying degrees simultaneously and prepares you for your future professional career.

You will acquire in-depth knowledge in the areas of robotics and control technology, and learn how to plan and implement automation concepts for manufacturing plants in the automotive industry.

Combined with the basic manufacturing principles from your vocational training, this provides a solid foundation for a successful career in project management.


Training content at EBZ:

  • Basics of mechanical and manual metal processing: turning, milling, grinding, sawing, drilling, reaming, filing, and thread cutting, as well as cutting and forming
  • Basics of pneumatics, PLC technology, and robot programming
  • Planning of production plants from an automation technology perspective
  • Simulation of production processes as part of virtual commissioning
  • Assembly and commissioning of production plants in the factory and at the customer's site
  • Support of our project teams, taking into account deadlines, costs, and quality
  • Completion of practical assignments and the bachelor's thesis in the product area

  • Basics of electrical engineering and electronics
  • Sensors and measurement technology
  • Control engineering

Duration of the program:
