Responsibilities:


  • Assess residents' health status and create individualized care plans based on their needs, medical history, and physician's instructions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
  • Monitor residents' vital signs, detect any changes in their condition, and promptly report concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in the management of residents' pain levels, including the administration of pain medications and implementation of nonpharmacological pain management techniques.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate and implement resident care plans, ensuring a holistic and patientcentered approach.
  • Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families, addressing their questions, concerns, and providing guidance on healthcarerelated issues.
  • Document all nursing interventions, assessments, and care plans accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.
  • Stay uptodate with current nursing practices and participate in continuing education programs to enhance professional growth and maintain licensure.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 12 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or longterm care setting.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and practices.
  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic nature with a genuine desire to provide the highest level of care to residents.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers).
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
