As Import Logistics Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day managing of Univar Solutions' Import activity aimed at auditing and follow up on the daily activities for Import compliance.
This will include but not limited to; review of internal documentation and processes along with the proper record keeping on all import accounts and orders.
Also, serve as back up to the Import Logistics Compliance Analyst.What You'll Do:
- This position will provide day to day operational support and guidance for all employees at various location. Assisting in the development of trade compliance trainings, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in product classification using the HTS, complete audits of activity related to imports into the US., Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to import activity, implement improvements to import compliance activities, maintain audit reports for both internal and external purposes based on findings, work with internal and external partners to gather, provide and maintain data.
- Assist with various projects between Canada and Mexico compliance teams.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree and/or industry experience with preference for concentration in supply chain/logistics, international trade.
- Min. 12+ years in global / international trade operations with a strong background in US import trade compliance is preferred. Knowledgeable in international incoterms, free trade, and other government agency regulations. Familiar with import documentation and requirements.
- Certifications in; NCBFAA Certifications (CCS, CES, MES) among others, is a plus.
- Demonstrated indirect leadership skills. Strong analytical skills & organizational skills with attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks on time.
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail are critical for success.
- Strong problem solving and time management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English. Ability to develop processes and training.
