    Job Requirements / Qualifications

    Active, unencumbered RN license (compact licenses accepted where applicable) — required for travel nurse placements

    Minimum 1 year recent
    PCU, step-down, telemetry, or similar acute care nursing experience

    BLS from AHA — required

    ACLS certification — preferred

    Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and pediatric/adult acute care skills

    Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced hospital environment

    Ability to manage telemetry monitoring, complex med administration, and changes in patient status

    Primary Responsibilities

    Provide high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients, including telemetry and step-down cases

    Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognize changes, and escalate per protocol

    Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately

    Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

    Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and post-discharge instructions

    Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record in a timely manner

    Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment and promote quality improvement initiatives
