We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Supply Chain Advanced Sourcing Group, located in Poway, CA.

This position reports into the Advanced Sourcing Directorate and is responsible for managing the Advanced Programs supply chain activities within integrated project teams (IPT) consisting of program management, engineering and related organizational members.

The ASPM is responsibility for developing relationships and requirements development for the IPT and supplier collaboration.

The ASPM will engage and manage the relationships with new and existing supply bases to develop and maintain critical supplier relationships for the next generation product lines at GA-ASI.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Collaborate with Advanced Programs team to proactively engage in earlystage new program discussions and to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and equipment required for program execution.
  • Liaise and coordinate with subcontracts Advanced Programs leads to align supply chain activities with program timelines, milestones, deliverables, and requirements definition.
  • Manage Supply Chain activities as the Advanced Sourcing team's primary representative with a focus on managing supplier relationships for new product lines and development programs.
  • Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of supply chain management principles, project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets
  • Collaborate with demand planning teams to ensure timely and accurate forecasting, aligning procurement strategies with demand forecasts for new programs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with organizational objectives and business needs.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate supply chain planning with product development, manufacturing, and distribution processes.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure supply chain resilience and business continuity.
  • Participate in, lead segments of or provide overall management for the request for proposal (RFP) process to generate new business
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:


  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of supply chain management principles, project management processes and procedures, demand planning and procurement methods, as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets
  • Must have experience moving development programs into production with new and existing supply bases
  • Must possess:
- the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects.
- the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine issues of diverse scope and nature.
- strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and,
- the ability to work independently and lead in a cross functional environment.

  • Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD top security clearance is required

$100,290 - $183,098
