Description

The Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) Specialist will facilitate the organization, implementation, and sustainment of ongoing Children and Youth System of Care (CYSOC) projects to ensure proper and timely completion.

The SSM II functions to sustain the requirements of Assembly Bill (AB Chapter 815, Statutes of 2018), including the Department's participation on the joint interagency resolution team (JRT) and state technical assistance team by executing related ongoing assignments.

AB 2083 provides legislative intent to develop a coordinated, timely, and trauma-informed system of care approach for foster children and youth who have experienced severe trauma.

AB 2083 requires each county to develop and implement a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with provisions as specified, setting forth the roles and responsibilities of entities, including regional centers (RCs), that serve children and youth in foster care who have experienced severe trauma.

The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.

These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers.

The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.


  • The DDS is located in a modern, sustainable and innovative office building at 1215 "O" Street, Sacramento, California.
